“Send me every message your search found that contains any of the five terms.”
He writes that his request “does not ask what a message addresses” and asks for every message that contains any of the five terms, citing ORS 192.329(2)(a).
Public Records Officer,
On October 30, 2026, you wrote: “none of them addressed ‘threat assessment’, ‘situational awareness’, ‘welfare check’, ‘knock and talk’, ‘grievance’, or any other kind of substantive report to or from OSP.”1
Your search found about a dozen Teams messages and about fifteen emails with the two OSP addresses. You wrote that none of the messages “addressed” the five terms. My request does not ask what a message addresses. It asks for every message that contains any of them.2
Send me every message your search found that contains any of the five terms. Follow the statute [ORS 192.329(2)(a)].
Thank you for your contribution to the record.
