Analytics.

This site counts its visits with Umami, which runs on my own server at rswfire.com. It records the page, the time, the page you came from, your browser, operating system, device and screen size, your language, and the city, region and country your address places you in. It sets no cookies and does not keep your address. Nothing it records is sold or shared.

When a page fails to load or throws an error, the error and the page’s address are sent to the same place, so I can fix it.

Server logs.

Like any web server, mine logs each request it answers: the address, the page and the browser. The logs are kept for fourteen days.

In your browser.

The site keeps two settings in your browser: whether citations are shown, and whether analytics count you. Neither leaves your device.

The links in my letters.

The links in the records requests and letters I send to agencies go through this site, at openrecordsoregon.org/r/, before they go on to where they point. When one is opened, the site keeps which link it was and when, the address it was opened from and the network and place that address belongs to, the browser, the page it was opened from, and the screen size, time zone and languages the browser reports. This is how I see where my letters travel. It applies only to those links.
