RE: Public Records Request
Mr. White:

The Oregon Youth Authority has received your attached request and is seeking clarification. In reviewing the information or records you are seeking you have not identified any party or position potentially communicating on behalf of the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA). Additionally, OYA does not have the ability to search records or information by email addresses or other communication mediums related to the Oregon State Police, their operations, or employees. The primary search methods used to search any communication mediums utilized by OYA employees is by the party name or the position of the OYA employee. If you would like OYA to search all communication mediums for all employees from January 1, 2023, to the date of each search, with the provided search terms, it would be such an extensive and time consuming endeavor that it is unlikely that OYA could consider waiving or reducing the actual cost of making such records publicly available especially in light of the fact that your request also appears to include the records of the search itself. Are their specific OYA employees or positions that you are seeking records related to this request? Focusing your request to the records and information directly related to OYA will reduce the time and costs in making any responsive records available.

Respectfully,

[OYA Staff] (she/her)
