“Produce the records my request asks for.”
He writes to the Department of Justice about his request of October 27, 2026, and says, “Produce the records my request asks for.”
Public Records Officer,
On November 2, 2026, you wrote: “For the first request, attached is the 2019 Attorney General's Public Records and Meetings Manual.”1 Your response to my request of October 27, 2026 is incomplete.2
A response is complete when the public body “provides access to or copies of all requested records within the possession or custody of the public body that the public body does not assert are exempt from public disclosure, or explains where the records are already publicly available” [ORS 192.329(2)(a)]. Yours does not provide the records requested.
Produce the records my request asks for. Follow the statute [ORS 192.329(2)(a)].
Thank you for your contribution to the record.
