TODD ALBERT, PUBLIC RECORDS ADVOCATE, RESPONSE TO THE RECORDS REQUEST

Four days after the request, the Advocate answers it. For the yearly counts and the reports to the Public Records Advisory Council: “Please see attached,” eleven reports from December 2021 to September 2026 and an appendix. For the log of requests for assistance: the same, with two spreadsheets, “2018_2025 RFAs” and “2026 RFA Tracking Sheet,” naming every person who asked the office for help, and an appendix that names some; the request had asked that requesters’ names be redacted. For every instance in which the office declined, deferred, or ended facilitated dispute resolution: “The office is not in possession of any records responsive to your request.” For the policies on how the office decides between facilitated dispute resolution and informal mediation: “In addition to ORS Chapter 192, of which the office is not a custodian, please see the office’s Administrative Rule. The office possesses no other responsive records.” “No records have been withheld in full or in part as confidential. There are no fees associated with your request.” The 2026 tracking sheet runs to October 26 and has no entry for his requests of October 8 and October 14. The two spreadsheets and the appendix name the people who asked the office for help. They are held and not published, the first production in this archive withheld in any part.
